The processor keeps telling me that I am at the end of the process and it doesn't make sense to go to another company at this stage of the process but yet every time I turn around, the Underwriters are asking for information that was already submitted. I asked the processor why is Christopher King still working for the company and she said she was working on having him fired because she was given all of his loans to fix. The original loan officer held onto paperwork without submitting it and told me so many lies as if he was doing his job. They have all of my legal information and although the processor has taken the reigns on this matter, I'm still being asked to send information that was already submitted because now everything that was sent in February in now out-dated. I am so frustrated that I am thinking about contacting my local news station "Consumer Affairs" to bring attention to my ordeal. Turns out, there is no fraud, the company just hire people who don't know the mortgage industry. I went as far as contacting a friend who is a real estate attorney because I thought there was fraud involved. I got promise after promise that my loan would be closing. Now they have the processor working on my loan because I was told that the loan officer dropped the ball on many clients and didn't know what he was doing. It is now June and my deal is still not closed. I contacted a Loan officer to do a refi-closeout deal for my property in February 2021. They made our Christmas/New Year's challenging. After all, we were finally able to close on 5 Jan 22 after having to live in a hotel room since 17 Dec but not without a last-minute surprise of, "you can't move into the house today, there are still pending items". We took leave on two different occasions because hopes were given for closing, but guess what, leave was wasted. We spent Christmas at a hotel room, the wife and I had the worst time getting to adjust to the constant getting items from here/there since everything was packed. Between false promises, 3 rental trucks packed and unpacked because of closing date cancellations and finding a place where to live while Obsidian got their stuff together, three weeks passed by of constant struggle, stress, pressure, anguish. To this point I cannot comprehend how the 17th of December was even a target date for closing when Obsidian did not have their act together. No inspections were done, appraisal was not finished, documents were not sent for signing, and every other possible option to not receive a clear to close from the underwriter. After this, I followed up daily with my loan officer, it was nothing but surprise after surprise. Missing our initial closing date put me on edge, I have 2 senior citizens and 3 minors, I am responsible for. This was the beginning of a 3-week nightmare. We did not close on 17 Dec after multiple calls and arrangements with the title company, it was just not possible. After we showed up to the title company, no documents were sent for closing, when we called Obsidian, the loan officer we worked with had many excuses and told us not to lose our patience, he also said, his words not mine, "closing was still a possibility". They first promised a 17 Dec 21 closing, so we could enjoy Christmas with our kids in the new house, but to sum up the story in a line, "Christmas destroyed". Obsidian Financial Services made us miss multiple closing dates because of their slowness and incompetence.
